Lisa's path to interior design has not been a linear one. Leaving Minnesota for California after high school, Lisa attended FIDM and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Merchandise Marketing. Upon graduation she moved to San Francisco to work exclusively for a clothing designer launching a men's private label. During those years she helped expand the business into three locations throughout the Bay Area area, while assisting with branding, marketing, and the retail design build out. From there, the migration into interior design became the natural next step.
Lisa eventually moved back to the Midwest where she furthered her education with an Interior Design degree and NKBA Certification. Since then, residential interior design has been her primary focus. She's worked with feng shui designers, high-end luxury design firms, and architects, even establishing a freelance career in both Minnesota and Colorado, proving to herself that she's a hustler at heart. What's been the most rewarding, however, was her opportunity to work at a Danish modern furniture showroom and restoration shop where she deepend her appreciation for historical design and architecture.
In 2018, Lisa packed up her car to head West yet again; this time checking off "living near the mountains" from her bucket list. Since then, Colorado has become a place she sees as a forever home, and is grateful to have met the SoBo Homes team. When not collaborating with her design clients, you can find Lisa cooking with friends, completing her yoga teacher training, or learning how to snowboard again after a 20 years hiatus.
